Private GP Practice
Dr Rachel Mann MB ChB, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP is a private GP here at Exeter Medical and is available Wednesday PM. She is experienced in all aspects of General practice and is happy to cover acute and chronic conditions and has special interests in women’s health, menopause, HRT, contraception, elderly care and mental health.
Dr Mann qualified from Leicester University in 1990 and having very much enjoyed General Practice as a student she completed her GP training in 1994 - Exeter based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and local GP practices. Rachel has worked in the Exeter area since then initially as a locum and assistant and then as a GP partner from 1997 to 2021. At present she combines her private work with NHS roles and medical student training. Dr Mann very much enjoys the variety of work in General Practice and is keen to give her patients the time they need.
This service can be used for urgent issues as well as longer-term problems for which the convenience of the location, facilities and timings make for a better healthcare experience. It is not intended as an alternative for conditions which should be managed by a hospital Accident and Emergency Department.

We offer 30 minute appointments, bookable in advance at times convenient to those busy during normal working hours. private prescriptions can be issued.
What is the cost?
Appointment (30 mins)
Face to Face - £100
Telephone - £65
Payment to be made on the day.
For repeat prescriptions/sick notes, these will include a telephone call where appropriate, and only to patients who have already been seen within this service.
