Exeter Medical is home to dermatologists and plastic surgeons who specialise in looking after patients with skin cancers, including melanoma. Exeter Medical is pleased to support Cancer Research UK.
The incidence of malignant melanoma, which often targets young people, is rising faster than that of any other cancer in the United Kingdom. Although much progress has been made in developing new surgical techniques and drugs to fight melanoma, in many patients it can still be a devastatingly aggressive disease.
This year Exeter Medical hosted a successful mole check event raising £1,165 for Cancer Research UK; and will again be repeating this event in 2017 aiming to reach out to the local community to raise awareness of melanoma skin cancer.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. They fight cancer on all fronts, finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat it to save more lives. They are entirely funded by the public and with our help, we can ensure more people beat cancer.
Exeter Medical is occasionally offered charitable donations by grateful patients. If you would like to make a charitable donation please visit our Just Giving Page in support of Cancer Research UK or attend any of our charity events.
