Dermal fillers
A variety of dermal fillers are available including Restylane®, Perlane® and Softline®. When injected, they plump up lines and creases from the underside using substances that are found naturally in the supporting layer of the skin.
Generally this form of treatment is best suited to lines on the cheeks and around the mouth, and the effect is maintained for a variable length of time depending upon which filler is used.
Other uses of dermal fillers are for lip enhancement and correction of a ‘tear trough’ beneath the eyes.
