Botulinum toxin (Vistabel®)
Vistabel is a good form of treatment for wrinkles and lines around the eyes and forehead. In particular, it can soften the frown lines between the eyebrows (the ‘glabellar’ area), horizontal forehead creases and the smile lines at the outer corners of the eyes – the crow’s feet.
Vistabel temporarily weakens the muscles in these areas that pull on the skin. Although this form of treatment is widely available on the high street, it is actually a prescription only medicine, and should be prescribed by a doctor before injection.
